A. 
The National Electrical Code, 2017 Edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, be and is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City of Brentwood, Missouri, regulating and governing the design, construction, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems and equipment as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the Electrical Code on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in Section 500.500, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed below.
B. 
The following provisions are hereby added:
Chapter 1, Article 120. Fees and Penalties.
1. 
120.1. Fee schedule. The fees for electrical work shall be as indicated in Appendix "A" to Section 500 of the Brentwood Municipal Code.
2. 
120.2. Fee refunds. The code official shall authorize the refunding of fees as prescribed in Appendix "A" of the Brentwood Municipal Code.
3. 
120.3. Violation penalties. Any person who violates a provision of this code or fails to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who erects, constructs, alters or repairs a building or structure in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the Building Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of Section 100.080 of the Brentwood City Code.

A. 
Ameren Missouri shall advise the City of Brentwood on a monthly basis, in writing, when there is a chance of user of residential or non-residential electric services within the City. The reports shall be provided to the City of Brentwood within seven (7) working days after the end of each month, indicating the address and apartment or unit number and the name(s) which such service is connected or billed.
B. 
Ameren Missouri shall submit annually to the City an invoice for its cost associated with this Section. The initial cost of this service shall not exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Future price increases, if any, will only reflect the actual cost incurred by Ameren Missouri to provide this service. The City shall pay to Ameren Missouri the amount of the invoice within thirty (30) days of receipt.
