There is hereby established the office of Court Clerk for the
City of Valley Park and the 21st Municipal Division of the St. Louis
County Circuit Court.

The Mayor, with the consent and approval of the majority of
the members of the Board of Aldermen, shall appoint a Court Clerk
for a period of two (2) years and may appoint an Assistant Court Clerk.
The duties of the Court Clerk and any assistants are to administer
the Court and collect all fines, fees and bonds and account to and
remit same to the City Clerk. Such Court officers shall hold office
for a term of two (2) years from the date of their appointment.

The position of Court Clerk shall be a part-time position. The
Court Clerk shall attend all sessions of the Valley Park Municipal
Division Court and may be required to be present at the Valley Park
City Hall to perform the duties of the office at such additional times
as the Mayor or Board of Aldermen may specify. Compensation for the
Court Clerk shall be established by ordinance from time to time.

Within fifteen (15) days after election, and before entering upon the discharge of the above described duties of office, the Court Clerk shall give bond to the City in the sum as set forth in Section
115.040, conditioned upon the faithful performance of said duties and the said Court Clerk will pay over all monies belonging to the City, as provided by law, that may come into the Court Clerk's hands.
