In this Part the word "person" shall mean and include any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation. The singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.

No person shall paste, post, attach or fix any placard, poster, notice or advertisement of any kind upon any public building of the Borough of Shillington, or upon any pole upon or along any street, alley or sidewalk in the Borough, or upon any tree outside the building line of any street or across any street, alley or sidewalk. Provided, nothing herein shall apply to official notices posted as required by law. Provided further, the Borough Council may give written permission to any person to post notices that, in the judgment of the Council, shall be requisite and necessary.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this Part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $1,000 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this Part continues shall constitute a separate offense.
