A certain document or booklet, official copies of which are on file in the office of the Village Manager, marked and designated as the International Property Maintenance Code, 2015 edition, published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted pursuant to the authority vested in the Village by Section 4 of Act No. 3 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1895 (MCLA § 66.4), as amended, for the purpose of establishing minimum standards for basic equipment and facilities for light, blight, ventilation, space heating and sanitation; for safety from fire; for space, use and location; for safe and sanitary maintenance; for cooking equipment in all structures now in existence; for fixing the responsibilities of owners, operators and occupants of all structures; and for providing for administration, enforcement and penalties, subject to changes as may be made by the terms of this article; provided, however, that a printed copy of the code shall be kept available in the office of the Village Clerk, available for inspection and use by the public during normal business hours.
The code adopted in § 340-1 is amended in the following respect:
Section H-104.4 is amended to provide for a fine of not more than $100 instead of the minimum $25 fine and a maximum $200 fine as stated in such code.
