Yard waste may be dropped off at the City's designated yard waste site by City residents only, per the following regulations:
A. 
Permit required. City residents must purchase an annual permit from City Hall prior to utilizing the site. Permits must be displayed and visible when using the yard waste site.
B. 
Permitted. Permitted items for drop off by City residents from property located within the City shall include: brush, grass clippings, leaves and garden waste for disposal. All brush must not exceed 8 inches in diameter. Items must be removed from bags. No garbage, trash or other non-grass clipping materials shall be placed in such disposal area. Additional sorting rules may be posted at the yard waste site.

C. 
Prohibited. Nonresidents and lawn service/commercial contractors are prohibited from using the dropoff site to dispose of yard waste generated by such operations, as well as prohibited from removing any compost, yard waste, sand, dirt, woodchips or other material from the dropoff site without prior permission from the Public Works Department.
D. 
Penalty. Any person or entity violating any provision of the yard waste site regulations shall be subject to a citation of $200 for first offense. Subsequent violations/offenses shall be subject to penalty as outlined in Chapter 1, § 1-3, Violations and penalties.
