The term "Traffic Officer," as used in this chapter or in any provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes adopted and made a part of this chapter, shall include all members of the paid Police Department of this Village.

A. 
Obedience to traffic officers and traffic signs and signals required.
(1) 
No person shall fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order, signal or direction of a traffic officer.
(2) 
No operator of a vehicle shall disobey the instructions of any official traffic sign or signal unless otherwise directed by a traffic officer.
B. 
The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to procure, erect and maintain appropriate standard traffic signs, signals and markings, conforming to the rules of the State Department of Transportation, giving notice of the provisions of §§ 6-2 through 6-31, inclusive, and §§ 6-38 and 6-40 of this chapter. Signs shall be erected in such locations and manner as authorized by the governing body as to give adequate warnings to users of the street, alley or highway in question. No provision of said sections shall be enforced unless and until such signs are erected and in place, and sufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinary observant person.
C. 
"Do Not Enter" or "Exit Only" signs. The Village Manager shall place "Do Not Enter" or "Exit Only" signs at or near the following locations:
(1) 
At or near the driveway located along the south curbline of East Silver Spring Drive from a point 140 feet east of the east line of Santa Monica Boulevard to a point 17 feet easterly therefrom.
D. 
"No U-Turn" sign. The Village Manager shall place "No U-Turn" signs at the following locations.
(1) 
At or near the cut-through on North Santa Monica Boulevard at a point 551 feet south of the north Village limits.
(2) 
On North Marlborough Drive between East Hampton Road and East Courtland Place for northbound and southbound traffic.
(3) 
For northbound and southbound traffic on North Santa Monica Boulevard at the intersections of East Day Avenue, East Belle Avenue and East Lake View Avenue, and East Beaumont Avenue on school days between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
E. 
"Left Turn or Right Turn Only" signs. The Village Manager shall place "Left Turn or Right Turn Only" signs at the following locations:
(1) 
On Shoreland Avenue, at the intersection of Devon Street, for northbound traffic.
(2) 
At the intersection of the south driveway of the property located at 6255 North Santa Monica Boulevard, adjacent to North Shoreland Avenue and Devon Street, for southbound traffic.

The operator of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person, any damage to state or other government-owned property, or total damage to property owned by any one person to an apparent extent of the amounts requiring the filing of a report pursuant to § 346.70, Wis. Stats., shall, within 10 days after such accident, file with the Whitefish Bay Police Department a copy of the report required by said § 346.70, Wis. Stats., the accident report being on a form approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
