The Director of Public Works of the City of Canton, Missouri,
is hereby authorized to place street barricades in the areas of construction
or flooding. Such barricades shall be the normal type of barricades
placed in streets to stop traffic on the street.

A.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate a motor vehicle
or other means of conveyance in an area in the City of Canton where
barricades have been placed at the entry to the area.
B.
It shall be unlawful for any person to move a street barricade as
authorized by this Chapter or to drive through or around any street
barricade.
C.
The prohibition provided for in this section shall not apply to the
following persons and their motor vehicles, boats, watercrafts, or
other means of conveyance:
1.
Any person having official business or employed by the United
States Corps of Engineers at Lock and Dam No. 20 on the upper Mississippi
River needing to reach Lock and Dam No. 20 for official business.
2.
Firemen, Policemen, and Peace Officers in the performance of
their official duties.
3.
Government officials and agency representatives in the performance
of their official duties.
4.
Ambulances and emergency vehicles, when an route to an emergency
call.
5.
Utility repair vehicles and disaster aid vehicles on official
business.
