A.
The
purpose of this chapter shall be to educate the public on the responsibilities
of being an animal owner as well as to state the penalties for a failure
to comply. Further, the intent is to preserve the public peace and
good order in the Village of Malone and to contribute to the public
welfare and the good order of its people by enforcing certain regulations
and restrictions on the activities of animals that are consistent
with the rights and privileges of the owners of animals and the rights
and privileges of other citizens in the Village of Malone.

This
chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority of §§ 1
to 6 of the Agriculture and Markets Law of the State of New York.
