That dumping of garbage, rubbish, and refuse material is hereby prohibited on private and public land within the Borough.
Residents of the Borough shall either personally carry away and dispose of their solid waste at an approved landfill or shall arrange to have their solid waste removed by a private carrier for that purpose.
Solid waste shall include all garbage, including all vegetable and animal food waste; rubbish, combustible and noncombustible; discarded materials, debris, trash and ashes.
Pending disposal of said solid waste as authorized by this chapter, solid waste may be stored in cupboard containers and in such limited quantities and for such limited time so as to ensure that no annoyance, nuisance or health hazard shall be created or maintained thereby.
No person shall keep, accumulate or suffer to remain upon the open private grounds of such person, owner or lessee within the Borough, any furniture that is intended only for indoor use.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall upon conviction thereof be sentenced to pay a fine of $100 and costs of prosecution and upon default of such fines and costs, may be imprisoned for no more than 30 days. Each day that a violation occurs shall be punishable as a separate offense and subject the offender to a separate penalty herein.

Any person who places or hangs any type of sign or notice upon utility poles, lamp posts, or other Borough property, including, but not limited to, yard sale signs, picnic advertising signs, or event notices must place that person's or representatives' name, address, and phone number upon the sign.

Any person who places or hangs such signs upon property within the Borough limits must remove said sign within three days from date of the event.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
