[1976 Code § 13-1]
A Municipal Court for the Township is hereby established pursuant to the provisions of New Jersey Statutes 2A:8-1 to 4.

The name of said Court shall be "Municipal Court of the Township of Holmdel, in the County of Monmouth."

The Municipal Court shall have a Seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Township Committee, and the Judge shall serve for a period of three years from the date of his/her appointment and until his/her successor is appointed and qualifies.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary which shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid, and the salary shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and any other allowances whatsoever.

The Municipal Court and the Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions of N.J.S. 2A:8-12 and 2A:8-19 to 2A:8-41, and any other applicable laws.

There shall be a Court Administrator who shall be appointed by the Township Committee subject to civil service rules and regulations.
b. 
There shall be a Deputy Court Administrator of the Municipal Court appointed by the Township Committee subject to civil service rules and regulations.
c. 
There may be a Violations Clerk and Assistant Violations Clerk of the Municipal Court appointed by the Township Committee subject to civil service rules and regulations.
d. 
There may be such other clerical personnel as required, appointed by the Township Committee subject to civil service rules and regulations.
e. 
Compensation of the Municipal Court employees shall be as provided in the Salary Ordinance.

The Municipal Court shall be held in the Holmdel Township Hall on Monday and Wednesday of each week from 9:00 a.m. until the calendar is completed and at such other times as the business of the Court may require, subject to the rules applicable to Municipal Courts.

The Deputy Court Administrator shall assist the Municipal Court Administrator in supervising and/or performing the specialized clerical work in the operation of the Holmdel Municipal Court, together with serving as the Violations or Assistant Violations Clerk, if necessary.
