1.
The City Commission may prescribe routes through the city for the use of trucks in general or trucks of particular kinds and/or other vehicles which are not ordinary private passenger vehicles, passing through the city. The city shall see that appropriate and adequate signs are placed along such routes so that drivers of such vehicles may follow the routes.
2.
When such signs are erected and in place, the driver of a truck or other vehicle for which a route has been prescribed, as provided above, while passing through the city, shall keep on such route and shall not deviate therefrom except in case of emergency. Drivers of such vehicles shall follow such routes so far as practicable also when driving within the city and not merely through the city.
3.
Trucks containing more than two axles are prohibited from parking on private property or a street or alley in a residential area with R-1 or R-2 zoning classification, except for loading or unloading. Movement of such trucks, where required in residential areas, shall be on secondary and thoroughfare streets only. Permission for parking and movement of such trucks, under conditions other than set out herein, must be sought and received from the Chief of Police of the City of Weatherford.
4.
No vehicle, regardless of the number of axles, shall travel on the public streets, alleys, and roadways within the limits of the City of Weatherford with a gross weight in excess of 85,500 pounds, without the driver of said vehicle having first received permission from the Chief of Police.
