The Fire Commission of the Village of Reeseville shall consist
of five members appointed by the Village President, subject to confirmation
by the Village Board. Members shall be from outside the area served
by the Reeseville Fire Department. Three Commissioners shall constitute
a quorum. The Commission shall keep a record of its proceedings.
Each member of the Commission shall be appointed for a term
of five years. The Village President shall annually at the first Village
Board meeting in April appoint one member for a term of five years
commencing as of May 1 of the year of appointment. Midterm vacancies
shall be filled as soon as practical by Village President appointment
subject to the confirmation by the Village Board.
The members of the Fire Commission shall receive compensation
as determined by resolution of the Village Board.
The Commission shall designate a President, Vice President,
and Secretary from among its members and assign duties to each of
them as common to such offices. The Commission shall meet no less
that twice per year and shall establish such meeting dates and reasonable
rules of procedure. Special meeting may be held upon proper notice
when occasion demands.
The powers and duties of the Commission shall be those prescribed
in § 62.13, Wis. Stats., except § 62.13(6).
