The governing body of the Borough of Hopewell hereby authorizes the preparation and promulgation of a document to be entitled Personnel Policy Manual, in which shall be set forth the personnel policies applicable to employees of the Borough.

The Personnel Policy Manual, and any amendments thereto, shall be adopted by resolution of the Borough Council and shall have the same force and effect as if they were set forth at length herein.[1]

A copy of the Personnel Policy Manual shall be provided to each employee; copies of all amendments thereto shall be provided to each employee immediately after adoption of any amendment. Implementation, enforcement and interpretation of the Personnel Policy Manual shall be the responsibility of the Borough Council.

All full and part-time employees who receive compensation from the Borough of Hopewell are mandated to have direct deposit of their compensation as of July 1, 2014 in accordance with Chapter 28 P.L. 2013, as defined under C.52:14-15f(b).

Seasonal and temporary employees who are employed by the Borough of Hopewell are exempt from the direct deposit mandate.
