The City Council, pursuant to its authority as a charter city,
may determine which newspaper or newspapers is/are of general circulation
within the City of Albany for the purposes of designating which newspapers
are appropriate for the publishing of any notices that the City is
required to publish.

The City Council, by resolution or ordinance, may designate
any newspaper as being one of general circulation within the City
of Albany for the purpose of publishing any notice that the City is
required to publish.

Notwithstanding any other provision in the Albany Municipal
Code or any State law provision to the contrary, the newspaper or
newspapers designated by the City by resolution as newspaper of general
circulation shall be appropriate for the publication of any notice
that is required under the Albany Municipal Code or required by State
law.

The City Council, by resolution or ordinance, may designate
three (3) or more public places that are suitable for the posting
of any notice, in addition to or as a part of the requirements for
the publication of any notice.
