A. 
In the case of a death, where the remains of the decedent are in a place open to the public view, such remains shall be removed and stored as expeditiously as possible in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey and the City of Trenton;
B. 
Once all necessary and mandatory action has been taken at the scene with respect to a decedent's remains, the Health Officer or Trenton Police Department is hereby directed and empowered to immediately take all steps necessary to have said remains removed and stored in accordance with applicable law;
C. 
In the event of a law enforcement response and investigation of an incident involving human remains, the scene shall be secured by the City of Trenton to the extent legally and practically permissible so as to block viewing of the remains by members of the public through the use of appropriate screens or fencing. Nothing herein shall be deemed to interfere with or hamper such investigation. In such cases, the appropriate prosecutorial authority shall determine the time and manner in which said remains will be removed and stored.
