For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the meanings indicated:
Shall be defined so as to include cameras and sound listening
or recording devices.
In addition to any other violation of laws or regulations, it
shall be a violation of this chapter and the Lake Grove Village Code
for any owner, resident or occupant of a property in the Village of
Lake Grove to install, position and/or use a camera, listening or
recording device in such a manner so as to observe or record the yard
or property of an adjoining property in the Village of Lake Grove.
In addition to any other violations of New York State law or
law or ordinance of the Village of Lake Grove, and any penalties or
fines associated therewith, it shall be a violation to fail to comply
with any provision of this chapter or any of the restrictions contained
herein with a fine or penalty of up to $250 per violation for a first
violation of this chapter, a fine or penalty of up to $750 per violation
for a second violation of this chapter within a twelve-month period
of a first violation, and a fine or penalty of up to $1,500 for a
third violation of this chapter and each and every violation of this
chapter within a twelve-month period of the first violation. Each
and every day that a violation of this chapter should exist shall
be a separate violation of this chapter whether or not a separate
violation or citation is issued.
