Pursuant to § 487, Subdivision 8(a), of the Real Property
Tax Law of the State of New York, no exemption under § 487 of
the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York shall be applicable
within the Town of Royalton for any solar or wind energy system or
farm waste energy system which began construction subsequent to the
effective date of this article.
The Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute PILOT agreements
with the owners of solar energy storage systems approved by the Town
prior to the adoption of this article opting out of § 487
of the RPTL.
This article shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary
of State. This article shall be filed with the New York State Department
of Taxation and Finance and the New York Energy Research and Development
Agency.
