Any person or entity wishing to utilize, lease, and/or rent
the Township's Tuomey Park baseball field and/or Railroad Avenue
baseball field for use by a tournament or exclusive use of the field
must make an application for the use to the Township. The application
forms will be available in the office of the Township Clerk during
regular business hours.
Any person, corporation or entity wishing to utilize the Tuomey
Park baseball field and/or Railroad Avenue baseball field for exclusive
use, tournament use, or use by a league will be required to present
a certificate of liability insurance indicating that the person or
entity applying for the use of the field has obtained personal and/or
entity liability insurance in an amount equal to at least $500,000
per loss for general liability. Such a certificate must name the Township
as an additional insured. Approval for the use of the field shall
not be completed until such time as a copy of the certificate of insurance
has been provided to the Township.
A.
For any person/entity, or league seeking to reserve the baseball
field for exclusive use for events such as organized games, tournaments
shall be charged at the rate of $500 per day for exclusive use of
the field. Said fee shall be paid in full 10 days prior to the event.
If the event is canceled five days or less prior to the event, the
Township shall retain one day's fee ($500) as a cancellation
fee.
B.
A nonprofit organization or organized baseball or softball league
that is exclusive to residents of the Township of Ocean and/or 51%
of its membership are residents of the Township of Ocean shall only
be required to pay a one-time fee of $500 for exclusive use of the
field. Said fee shall be paid in full 10 days prior to the event.
If the event is canceled five days or less prior to the event, the
Township will retain the one-time fee of $500 as a cancellation fee.
A.
Any person, group, or entity wishing to utilize the Township's
Tuomey Park baseball field and/or Railroad Avenue baseball field upon
application for reservation of the field shall provide a security
deposit in the amount of $500 for any such event or rental. Said security
deposit is to ensure that any damage sustained during the rental of
the field will be recouped from the security deposit. To the extent
that the amount of the security deposit is not enough to cover the
cost or damage to the field, then the individual or entity responsible
for using the park that has caused such damage will be billed and
held responsible.
