There is adopted and incorporated by reference herein as the
city green building code for the purpose of prescribing regulations
in the city of Lemon Grove for improved public health safety and general
welfare by enhancing the design and construction of buildings through
the use of building concepts having a reduced negative impact or positive
environmental impact and encourage sustainable construction practices,
the 2022 California Green Building Standards Code, Part 11, Title
24 of the California Code of Regulations, a portion of the 2022 California
Building Standards Code, as defined in the California Health and Safety
Code, Section 18901. Except as otherwise provided by this chapter
of the city of Lemon Grove Municipal Code, all construction of buildings
shall comply with the design, operation construction, use and occupancy
of every newly constructed building or structure, unless otherwise
indicated in this code shall be in conformance with the California
Green Building Code published by the California Building Standards
Commission.
