A. 
Unlawful parking.
(1) 
No motor vehicle may be parked in other than a parking space regulated by a parking meter in any parking meter zone or public parking structure designated by this chapter.
(2) 
No motor vehicle may be parked in a parking space regulated by a parking meter when the timing device on such parking meter displays a signal indicating that the parking period designated on the parking meter or fixed by this chapter has expired.
(3) 
A motor vehicle parked in any space governed by the Hartsdale Parking District shall be parked within the painted lines. Where angle parking is required, vehicles shall be parked front end to the curb.
(4) 
No motor vehicle shall be parked in any space designated as a bus stand, taxicab stand or loading area in any parking meter zone.
(5) 
No motor vehicle, except a motor vehicle bearing a commercial automobile registration license, shall park in any right-of-way or driveway in front of, in the rear of or adjacent to any building which the Board of Commissioners shall officially designate by appropriate signs or standards that such right-of-way or driveway is a loading zone.
(6) 
No motor vehicle shall be parked or remain standing in any parking meter zone in the district or public structure, for the purpose of washing, greasing or repairing said vehicle, except repairs necessitated by an emergency, or to peddle, vend or hawk merchandise from such vehicle.
(7) 
No public address or television device, or any other sound-amplifying device, shall be operated while a motor vehicle is parked or standing in any parking meter zone in the district or public parking structure.
(8) 
No motor vehicle shall be parked or remain standing in the public rights-of-way extending from East Hartsdale Avenue to the entrance or exit of the Site A Public Parking Structure.
(9) 
No vehicle larger than a compact car shall be parked in a parking space designated for compact cars.

(10) 
No motor vehicle shall be parked in an area designated for permit parking without displaying proper permit.
(11) 
No motor vehicle shall be parked in an area prohibiting parking during posted hours.
B. 
Any motor vehicle in violation of any provision of this section, or any motor vehicle allowed to remain in a metered parking space for a period exceeding six hours beyond the period of permitted continuous parking as fixed by this chapter, may be removed, towed or conveyed, by or at the direction of a police officer or other person duly authorized by the Commissioners of the Hartsdale Public Parking District, to a public garage or other area designated for that purpose. The owner or operator of such vehicle shall pay any expense incurred in connection with the towing and storage of such motor vehicle, as set forth in §§ 460-44 and 460-45, before it shall be released, and said expense shall be in addition to any fine imposed for a violation of this chapter.
