Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3), Wis. Stats., the City of Mayville is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) and (2), Wis. Stats.
The Common Council of the City of Mayville has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in every stage of the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a), Wis. Stats.
The City of Mayville Plan Commission, by a majority vote of the entire Commission, has passed a resolution recommending to the Common Council the adoption of the document titled "City of Mayville Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan" containing all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.
The City of Mayville has provided numerous opportunities for public involvement in accordance with the public participation strategy adopted by the Plan Commission, including numerous public meetings with respect to preparation of the City of Mayville Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan, a public informational meeting on October 5, 2005, and a public hearing on January 25, 2006, in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4), Wis. Stats.
The Common Council of the City of Mayville does, by the enactment of this chapter, formally adopt the document titled "City of Mayville Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan" pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats.[1]
