Public Document Types
Borough Council has the authority to establish sub-committees. Sub-committees are developed to evaluate and advise Council on a variety of matters. This includes issues like personnel, financial, administrative, storm sewers, environmental, parks and recreation, and economic development. Sub-committees will often look a range of information and provide Council with a decision package evaluating pros and cons. The committee will make its recommendations to Council for final approval. Sub-committees are led by a Council person, who serves as the Committee Chairperson. The committee can be filled with resident, non-resident, and professional service provider members to help formulate decision packages for Borough Council to consider at public meetings. In some cases, committee meeting minutes will be verbalized into the regular meeting minutes of Borough Council. Check under the meeting minutes of Borough Council for a particular sub-committee (i.e. Public Safety or Parks & Recreation) during the report of that committee at a regular Borough Council meeting.
