Except as otherwise provided by law, the use of firearms anywhere in the borough is hereby prohibited.
No person shall at any time, within the boundaries of the borough, hunt for, take, kill or pursue with a gun or any firearms of any kind or character or with a bow and arrow, any game, wild bird, animal or fowl.
No person shall, for the purpose of hunting, taking or killing any game, wild bird, animal or fowl, discharge any firearm at any place within the boundaries of the borough.
No person shall, within the boundaries of the borough, engage in skeet shooting, trap shooting, turkey shooting, etc., or other forms of target practice with firearms unless upon application first being made to the Mayor and Borough Council which may permit the shooting in areas designated by it.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to regulate the use of firearms by members of a law enforcement body or the military forces of the State of New Jersey or the United States when in the lawful discharge of their duties.
