[HISTORY: Adopted by the Annual Town Meeting
of the Town of Eastham 2-3-1930 by Art. 2. Amendments noted where
applicable.]

The date of the Annual Town Meeting shall be
the first Monday in May at such hour and such place as the Selectmen
may designate.

The date of the annual Town election shall be
the third Tuesday of the month of May.

When any Annual or Special Town Meeting concludes
and an article or line item is still pending at 10:00 p.m. on each
night, the meeting shall be adjourned to a time certain, that being
the next available and convenient evening at a time and place to be
determined by the Moderator, except that continuance until 11:00 p.m.
may be decided by a majority of the Town Meeting members present at
or near 10:00 p.m.

A quorum of doing business shall be not less
than 5% of the voting list.

In the event that the Select Board determines that no suitable
location is available to conduct a Special or Annual Town Meeting,
the Board may call for such Town Meeting to be conducted at a suitable
location in Orleans or Wellfleet.
