A. 
Trash collection is provided by the Town of Walpole, through our contract with Waste Management.
B. 
The Town provides trash collection to one-, two-, and three-family homes and is collected once per week (please contact the Health Department for the day your street is collected).
A. 
Trash is delayed one day, with Friday's collection on Saturday, when a holiday falls during the week. These dates are published in The Walpole Times and on cable prior to the upcoming holiday. Garbage and rubbish shall be put out for collection no earlier than the day of collection.
B. 
Trash must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
Each residence is allowed to put out or six bags or six barrels of household trash and one large item per week. Bags must be tied and barrels covered. Large items include a couch, chair, bed, carpet cut and rolled in six-foot lengths, or lawn mover with fluids removed. Residents moving in or out must call the Board of Health office to make arrangement for a one-time only extra large pickup. This is for a couple of extra bags and one more large item.
A. 
Household trash does not include:
(1) 
Any building debris: such as tile, roofing materials, paneling or wood.
(2) 
Any appliances: such as refrigerators, water heaters, or air conditioners, TVs, computer monitors.
(3) 
Leaves and grass: Town composting area is located on Robbins Road. Call Board of Health office for hours of operation.
(4) 
Any cardboard: cardboard must be broken down (two feet by two feet) and put out for recycling. Or bring the cardboard to the dumpster at compost area on Robbins Road.
(5) 
Any hazardous materials: such as motor oil, oil-based paint, kitchen cleaners.
(6)

B. 
Reminder. Recyclables must be in open containers.
