No person shall install an individual or community sewage disposal system, or construct any building in the Township of Lancaster, in which an individual or community sewage disposal system is to be installed, without first obtaining a permit indicating that the site, plans and specifications of such system are in compliance with the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act 537[1] and the Rules and Regulations adopted pursuant to the Act.

A fee in the amount of $85 shall be paid to the Township Sewer Enforcement Officer at the time of making application for an individual or community sewage disposal system permit.

In the event the Township Sewer Enforcement Officer conducts the percolation tests required pursuant to the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act, a fee in the amount of $125 will be paid for said service. This provision shall not prohibit the applicant from having said tests conducted by any other person who is authorized pursuant to said Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act to conduct percolation tests.
