[Article 46, voted in the affirmative 3-12-1968 by the
Annual Town Meeting, read in the warrant as follows: "To see if the
Town will vote to reaffirm the acceptance of Revised Statutes Annotated,
Chapter 252,[1]

Prior to the vote, Article 46 was amended as follows:
to substitute "may" for "shall" and to insert the words "no more than"
preceding the word " 1/2."]

Editor's Note: See also RSA 149-I and RSA 231:111 through
113. referred to as Sidewalks and Sewers. Further, that the Selectmen
shall, in the construction of sidewalks, assess each abuttor on such
street, 1/2 of the expense of constructing the sidewalk, pursuant
to R.S.A. 252:2."
