A. 
A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of City of Battlefield, Missouri, being marked and designated as the "International Mechanical Code, 2018 Edition," including Appendix Chapter A, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Battlefield, in the State of Missouri, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Mechanical Code on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Subsection (B) of this Section.
B. 
The following sections are hereby revised:
1. 
Section 101.1. Insert into bracketed area: "City of Battlefield, Missouri."
2. 
Section 106.5.2. Revise this section to read as follows: "The fees for mechanical work shall be as indicated in Chapter 505 of the City Code."
3. 
Section 106.5.3. Insert into the bracketed areas: "50.00%" in two (2) bracketed locations.
4. 
Section 108.4. Insert into bracketed area: "Refer to City Code Section 500.100."
5. 
Section 108.5. Insert into bracketed area: "Refer to City Code Section 500.100."
C. 
Nothing in this Article or in the Mechanical Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance repealed by Ordinance No. 19-09; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or the Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
