A. 
The Park Hills City Council does hereby re-classify the Municipal Court Clerk position as a salaried Department Head position. Fulfillment of said position shall be based on the nomination of the Mayor with the approval of a majority of the full City Council.
B. 
Any Deputy Clerks, as may be deemed necessary, shall be appointed to such position by the City Administrator and shall serve until a successor is appointed.
C. 
Such Clerk and the Deputies shall assist in the administration of the Municipal Court and shall be authorized to:
1. 
Assist in the collection of fines for violation of such offenses as may be described, and the Court costs therefor;
2. 
Take oaths and affirmations;
3. 
Accept signed complaints, and allow the same to be signed and sworn to or affirmed before him/her;
4. 
Sign and issue subpoenas requiring the attendance of witnesses and to sign and issue subpoenas duces tecum;
5. 
Maintain, properly certified by the City Clerk, a complete copy of this Code and all other ordinances of the City, which shall constitute prima facie evidence thereof before the Municipal Court. Further, to maintain similar certified copies on file with the Clerk of the Circuit Court; and
6. 
Perform all other duties as provided for by ordinance, by rules of practice and procedure adopted by the Municipal Judge and by State Rules of Practice and Procedure for Municipal and Traffic Courts and by Statute; and any other duties as directed by the Municipal Judge.
