A. 
Definition. For the purpose of this Section, the "Major Case Squad" shall mean any formation, operation, organization, or cooperative action between any County-Governing Body, any municipal government, sheriff's department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, other law enforcement agencies and the City of Park Hills and its Police Department, the purpose of which is intensive professional investigation of certain individual crimes that may occur in their general geographical area and which is operated and activated on request of a County Sheriff or the Police Chief of the political subdivision wherein the crime has occurred.
B. 
Participation. The City of Park Hills and its Police Department are hereby authorized to participate in a Major Criminal Case Squad with other governmental units located in St. Francois County and/or surrounding counties.
C. 
Organization. The officers of the Park Hills Police Department are authorized to participate in and cooperate with any Law Enforcement Officers of jurisdictions in any Major Case Squad operation or formation. The officers designated to act in the Major Case Squad operation will be so designated by the Chief of Police and, when acting outside of the City of Park Hills as a member of the Major Case Squad operation, shall be considered to be on active duty the same as if acting within the boundaries of the City of Park Hills.
D. 
Documentation. The Mayor, Chief of Police and City Clerk of the City of Park Hills are hereby authorized and empowered to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Park Hills any and all documentation necessary in order to form and participate in said Major Criminal Case Squad.
E. 
Designation Of Officers. The Park Hills City members of the Major Case Squad shall be designated by the Chief of Police, with the approval of the Mayor, and may be removed by the Chief of Police or the Mayor at any time. At no time shall the Chief of Police allow the operations of the Major Case Squad to leave the City of Park Hills with inadequate police protection.
F. 
Employee Limitation. No member of the Major Case Squad shall be considered an employee of the City of Park Hills for any purpose unless said member is a member of the City of Park Hills's regular Police force.
G. 
Power Of Arrest. Whenever any Police Officer of the City of Park Hills is duly authorized as a member of said Major Case Criminal Squad, said officer shall have the power to arrest anywhere within the State of Missouri. This power of arrest shall be exercised only during the time said Law Enforcement Officer is an active member of the Major Case Squad and only within the scope of the investigation or in which the squad is working.
