A. 
Purpose. The Town Board of the Town of Southold finds that, with the increasing development and population of the Town of Southold, transportation activities are increasing and impacting the local streets. Regulation of pedestrian traffic on local streets is necessary so as to provide for the safety and welfare of the Town's citizens and for the orderly flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on busy local streets.
B. 
There shall be a pedestrian crosswalk at the following locations:
