It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt with a revolver, shotgun or other firearm within the boundaries of the Township of Saddle Brook, in the County of Bergen.
Any person violating the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction of such violation, be subject to a fine not exceeding $200 or imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Judge before whom any such person is convicted; and in default of the payment of any fine imposed, any person convicted may, in the discretion of the Judge, be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days.

It shall be unlawful during the open game season, as provided by the game laws of the State of New Jersey,[1] for any person to:
A. 
Carry any firearms loaded with solid or single-ball cartridges within the Township of Saddle Brook.
B. 
Carry any firearms on any public street or highway in the Township of Saddle Brook, County of Bergen, unless the same shall have been broken and shells removed therefrom; provided, however, that this subsection shall apply at all times during the year.
C. 
Discharge any firearms within 300 feet of any private home or building or within 500 feet of any public highway, school grounds or school building within the Township of Saddle Brook.

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry any firearms in the fields or woods within the Township of Saddle Brook at any time other than the open game season, as prescribed by the game laws of the State of New Jersey.
It shall be unlawful for the owner or owners of any cat or other predatory animal or animals to permit such animal or animals to roam at large within the Township of Saddle Brook.
There shall be appointed by the Township Council for a term of one year, four special officers who shall be officially designated as "Field Marshals," who shall serve without compensation and whose specific duties shall be to enforce the provisions of this article and of the game laws of the State of New Jersey; provided, however, that this section shall not be construed to deprive any other officer duly authorized of authority to enforce the provisions of this article and of the said game laws above referred to.
This article shall not apply to any police officer or constable in the discharge of his official duties.
Any person or persons violating this article or any section thereof shall forfeit and pay a fine of not more than $200 or be imprisoned in the county jail for a period not exceeding 90 days, or both. The Judge before whom any violator of this article is convicted shall have power to impose any fine or term of imprisonment not exceeding the maximum fixed in this article. In default of the payment of any fine imposed herein, any person convicted of the violation of this article may, in the discretion of the Judge before whom he is convicted, be imprisoned in the county jail for any term not exceeding 90 days.
