WHEREAS, the Town of West New York seeks to
create the position of Cultural Affairs Director within the Town of
West New York; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the duties of said position would include
the planning, promotion and development of cultural services in such
fields as theater productions, art shows, photography exhibits, concerts,
opera productions and the design and preparation of brochures for
cultural affairs; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the position shall be in the unclassified
service and shall be an appointive position of the Mayor of the Town
of West New York pursuant to N.J.S.A. 11:2-2_; and
|
|
WHEREAS, such services as called for in this
position are extraordinary, unspecifiable services which cannot be
reasonably described by written specifications;
|
|
Now therefore, be it ordained by the Board of
Commissioners of the Town of West New York, County of Hudson, State
of New Jersey, as follows:

The position of Cultural Affairs Director is
herewith created in the Town of West New York.

The position of Cultural Affairs Director shall
be in the unclassified service and appointed by the Director of the
Department of Public Works of the Town of West New York and is assigned
in the Department of Public Works.
The salary range of said position shall be $10,000
to $15,000.
