There shall be a Director of Real Estate who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council. The term of the director shall be for the duration of the term of the appointing Mayor.
The Director of Real Estate shall be a licensed real estate broker in the State of New Jersey.
The Director shall be responsible for all matters involving publicly owned properties, the conducting of public land sales and appraisals of properties sold at public auction or acquired for utilization by the municipality.
The Director of Real Estate shall file an annual report with the Mayor and Township Council regarding a list of all Township-owned lands, its usefulness to the municipality and appraisal value.
The Director of Real Estate shall be required to adhere to the requirements of the Local Government Ethics Law[1] and the relevant provisions of the Monroe Township Code when transacting any and all business in the municipality.
