[Adopted 7-29-1964]
Upon petition of more than 25 registered electors
of Athens Township or taxpayers of Athens Township, dated May 27,
1963, and being satisfied of the reasonableness and propriety of said
application, the Board of Supervisors of Athens Township does hereby
create a police force for the Township of Athens.[1]

Editor's Note: Former Sections 1 and 2, which
named the first Chief of Police and which dealt with the Auxiliary
Police, respectively, were deleted 12-18-1991 by Ord. No. 92.
