Subject to the Borough Manager, the Fire Board shall have general supervision of the Borough Volunteer Fire Department, fire apparatus, fire-fighting equipment and Fire Department personnel.
The Fire Board shall meet once each month, or more frequently if necessary, on a date to be fixed at its annual organization meeting and at such other meetings as are scheduled pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act.[1]

The newly elected officers to the Fire Board shall meet jointly with the current Board at the December meeting.
Prepare reports as requested by the Chief. A copy of the reports will be submitted to the Borough Clerk, Mayor and Council and the Borough Manager. Salary for the Clerk will be established for the Clerk's position by ordinance by the Mayor and Council annually.
The Board of Fire Commissioners shall allocate to each of the four companies such units of fire apparatus and fire-fighting equipment as, in its judgment, may be deemed necessary and proper for the efficient operation of each of the four fire companies. The standard colors of all new fire apparatus shall be red with white top features.
All bills will be signed for payment by the Fire Chief on official vouchers and then presented to the Borough officials for payment in accordance with state statutes.
