The Board of Selectmen is authorized to appoint an Agricultural Commission to develop a plan to encourage the pursuit of agriculture within the Town of Yarmouth and promote agricultural based economic opportunities within the Town.
The Agricultural Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the Board of Selectmen with staggered terms of three-year intervals. The Board of Selectmen, by a majority vote, may increase the number of Commissioners to seven or nine if it determines such number would better serve the Town. Members may be removed by a majority vote of the Board of Selectmen at a public meeting. The members of the Commission shall serve without compensation.
