The Public Safety Committee shall consist of three members of the Borough Council, appointed as provided by the bylaws of the Borough Council.

In accordance with N.J.S.A 40A:14-118, the Public Safety Committee is hereby designated as the "Appropriate Authority." The Public Safety Committee shall report and recommend to the Borough Council proposed actions and decisions concerning the business and affairs of the Police Department and the Borough Council shall either approve or disapprove the same. The Public Safety Committee is responsible for the promulgation of the Police Department rules and regulations.
