The Town Board of Chatham establish the Agency of Freedom of Access. The Town Clerk is designated "Records Access Officer," and the appeals officer shall be the Town Supervisor.
The following rules and regulations shall apply to the public inspection and copying of such town records as are subject to public inspection by law and shall continue in effect until altered, changed, amended or superseded by further resolution of the Town Board.
Such records shall be made available for inspection at the office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours, between the hours 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. For any records not available at the Town Clerk's office, written request specifically describing records to which access is desired must be filed with Records Access Officer, who shall produce the same in a limited time of request, unless such record by law is not for public information.
For any copies made, there will be a fee of $0.25 per page.
