It shall be unlawful for any individual or entity of any nature to dispose or cause to be disposed or drain or cause to be drained any downspout, sump pump or other nonsewerage polluted waters into the lines of the municipal sanitary sewerage system created and operated in conjunction with the Borough of Hanover (Hanover Regional).[1]

Said prohibition shall apply to all existing lines of the existing system and all lines incorporated into said municipal system in the future.

Any person who violates or permits a violation of this article shall, upon being found liable therefor in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the Township before a Magisterial District Judge, pay a fine of not more than $600, plus all court costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, incurred by the Township in the enforcement of this article. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. Further, the appropriate officers or agents of the Township are hereby authorized to enforce compliance by filing an action in equity in lieu of a civil action filed before a Magisterial District Judge.
In addition to criminal sanctions imposed by this article, the Supervisors of Conewago Township may institute in the name of the Township any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent, restrain, correct or abate the violation of this article.
