Pursuant to Subdivision 1 of § 405.00 of the Penal Law of the State of New York, the Police Chief, Fire Marshal and Assistant Fire Marshal are hereby designated the permit authorities to grant and issue permits for the public display of fireworks, in accordance with the provisions of § 405.00 of the Penal Law. Fireworks may be displayed in the Village only after the issuance of a permit therefor by the Police Chief, Fire Marshal or Assistant Fire Marshal of the Village, which permit shall state that the applicant has satisfied the requirements of 9 NYCRR 1177.1(a) and National Fire Protection Association Standards 1123-1982 and 1124-1988.

Any violation of any provisions of this chapter shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $250 or a term of imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or both.
