The Village will attempt to read each meter at regular intervals of three months. There will be two zones for this purpose, each with a separate quarterly billing period.

Bills shall become due and payable within 30 days as indicated on the bill without penalty, and such payment shall be made to the Water Billing Clerk.

Penalties for past due water rents and service charges shall be as set forth in Chapter 63, Fees, until paid or included in the annual Village tax levy.
If such bill remains unpaid for a period of 60 days from the invoice date, water service shall be discontinued until such bill, together with penalties hereinbefore provided, and together with the charge set forth in § 141-34 to cover the expense of discontinuance and restoration of service is paid.
Water rents and charges and penalties thereon shall be a lien upon the real property upon which the water is used and may be collected in accordance with Section 229 of the Village Law.[1]

Any water billing account serving a premises must be in the name of the owner of the premises receiving service, and the owner of that premises shall be responsible for any amounts due and owing on that account.
