The Council of the Borough of Kutztown shall
annually appoint an auditor who shall be a certified public accountant
or a firm of certified public accountants or a competent independent
public accountant or a firm of independent public accountants.
Such auditor shall be appointed by resolution
of the Council before the commencement of each fiscal year. The auditor
shall audit the accounts and other evidences of financial transactions
of the Borough of Kutztown and the officers of the Borough of Kutztown
for the fiscal year then closing and shall submit the audit report
to the Council.
The compensation of such auditor shall be fixed
by Council at the instance of employment and paid out of Boroughfunds.
