Borough of Pen Argyl, PA Chapter 33 Salaries and Compensation

Article I Mayor

§ 33-1 Salary of Mayor.

The salary of the Mayor of the Borough of Pen Argyl is hereby fixed at the rate of $2,120 per year commencing with calendar year 2007.

Article II Councilpersons

§ 33-2 Salaries of Councilpersons.

The compensation of the Borough Councilpersons is hereby fixed at the rate of $45 per regularly scheduled public meeting of the Council of Pen Argyl Borough, commencing with the month of January 2007. Councilpersons shall not receive compensation for meetings missed, unless their absence is excused by the President of Borough Council prior to the time of the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Council of Pen Argyl Borough.

§ 33-3 Salary of President of Council.

In addition to the foregoing compensation, the President of the Borough Council shall receive an additional $5 per regularly scheduled public meeting, fixing the total compensation of the President of the Borough Council at the rate of $50 per regularly scheduled public meeting, commencing with the month of January 2007. The President of the Borough Council shall not receive compensation for meetings missed, unless the President's absence is excused by the Vice President of the Borough Council prior to the time of the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Council of Pen Argyl Borough.
