A. 
Any person who shall violate any provision of the Borough procedures shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $500 and costs of prosecution and, in default in payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 10 days.
B. 
The provisions of this section shall not preclude the Borough from bringing successive prosecutions for uncorrected violations and/or from pursuing any or all other available remedies at law or equity.
A. 
The sewer system is intended to handle all household generated wastewater. It is not intended for incidental water not generated by household use.
B. 
The following shall not be introduced or discharged into the sewer system:
(1) 
Stormwater.
(2) 
Surface water.
(3) 
Groundwater.
(4) 
Roof run-off.
(5) 
Sump pump output.
C. 
To ensure that the above waters are excluded, the following shall not be connected into the sewer system directly or indirectly through linkage to a residence sewer system.
(1) 
Roof gutter and leaders.
(2) 
Sump pumps.
(3) 
Floor or ground drains.
(4) 
Perimeter and/or French drains.
D. 
Furthermore, the owner shall be responsible to maintain sewer laterals in a manner which precludes nonhousehold water from entering the sewer system.
E. 
The owner is also responsible to ensure any sewer or trap cleanout accesses are covered to prevent any prohibited nonhousehold waste and other incidental items from entering.
F. 
In the event of sewer blockage and basement flooding, the Borough shall inspect to determine who is responsible.
