Prior to acquisition of any parcel of real estate
for any purpose, whether by purchase or gift, the Select Board may,
in its discretion, require that a so-called Chapter 21E and/or other
environmental evaluation be performed.
The determination of the Select Board shall
be made in writing prior to any Town Meeting vote to purchase or accept
a gift of any such real estate and will be filed with the Town Clerk
and included in any such vote.
