[Adopted 3-4-1997 by Ord. No. 97-4]
Unless another penalty is expressly provided
by New Jersey Statutes, every person convicted of a violation of a
provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable
to a penalty of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not
exceeding 90 days and/or community service for a term not exceeding
90 days. Each day that the violation continues shall constitute a
separate offense.
This chapter shall take effect after final passage
and publication as provided by law and upon approval hereof by the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles of the State of New Jersey and the
Board of Freeholders of the County of Hunterdon.
This chapter may be known and cited as "The
Traffic Ordinance."
