Trucks over five tons' gross weight are hereby
excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule
V (§ 10.20.050), except for the pickup and delivery of materials
on such streets, said Schedule V being attached to and made a part
of this chapter.
Trucks having a registered gross weight in excess
of 5,000 pounds are hereby prohibited from parking at any time upon
Van Riper Avenue, John Henry Drive and Luckenbill Drive, except for
the pickup and delivery of materials. This prohibition shall include
both sides of the aforementioned streets for their full length.
The streets or parts of streets described in
Schedule VI (§ 10.20.060), attached to and made a part of
this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction
indicated.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VII (§ 10.20.070),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right
side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield
signs are provided for in the designations.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 10.20.080),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 10.20.090),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided
thereon.
The locations described in Schedule X (§ 10.20.100),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XI (§ 10.20.110),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XII (§ 10.20.120),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated
as bus stops.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the
streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§ 10.20.130),
attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated
(left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule XIV
(§ 10.20.140), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing
a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described
in Schedule XV (§ 10.20.150), attached to and made a part
of this chapter, whenever official signs are present prohibiting such
turn.
The lane locations described in Schedule XVI
(§ 10.20.160), attached to and made a part of this chapter,
are designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only
as indicated.
The speed limits for both directions of traffic
along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVIII (§ 10.20.180),
attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby established
at the rates of speed indicated.
Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected
and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits as authorized
by the Department of Transportation.
Traffic control signals shall be installed and
operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule
XIX (§ 10.20.190), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The traffic signal installation shall be in
accordance with the provisions of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles
and Traffic Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes
of New Jersey, shall conform to the design and shall be maintained
in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation of
the State of New Jersey.
No-passing zones are hereby established and
maintained along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule
XX (§ 10.20.200), attached to and made a part of this chapter,
as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in accordance
with the sketch dated and numbered as indicated.

A.
Definitions. Unless specifically provided, the
following words and terms shall be construed and defined as follows:
LOW SPEED VEHICLE
A motor vehicle:

Whose speed attainable in 1.6 km (one mile)
is more than 32 kilometers per hour (20 miles per hour) and not more
than 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour) on a paved level surface;
and
(3)
Whose GVWR is less than 1,134 kilograms (2,500
pounds).
B.
No person shall operate a low speed vehicle upon any public road or highway under the jurisdiction of the Township of Montville. Any person violating this section shall be subject to such penalties as are provided in Chapter
1, Article
III, General Penalty, of this Code.
