A. 
No off-premises signs shall be allowed, except on sign directories as specified in § 133-19.
B. 
No sign or graphics shall physically or visually impair vehicular or pedestrian traffic by design, color or placement.
C. 
No sign shall contain or be an imitation of an official traffic sign or signal or use such words as "stop," "caution" or "warning."
D. 
No sign shall be placed, wholly or in part, on, over or above any roof, building, marquee, wall or other structure.
E. 
No sign shall be placed on any fence, sidewalk or pavement or on any utility pole or tree except a temporary, portable sandwich board sidewalk sign.
F. 
No exterior sign or window sign display or advertising device or any part thereof shall be mechanically or electrically operated to produce motion or the appearance of motion.
G. 
Except as otherwise provided herein, no banners, pennants, ribbons, streamers, spinners, or similar moving, fluttering or revolving devices shall be part of an exterior or window sign or used for advertising or attracting attention when not part of a sign.
H. 
Prohibited sign illumination sources shall be as listed in § 133-21.
The following signs are prohibited in Residential, BT and I2 Districts:
A. 
Signs as listed in § 133-6.
B. 
Projecting signs, except as allowed in § 133-10.
C. 
Window signs, except temporary pickup and delivery notices, political posters, and similar signs.
D. 
Signs on awnings or canopies.
The following signs are prohibited in Bl, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6 and BA Districts:
A. 
Signs listed as prohibited in § 133-6.
B. 
Projecting signs in B1 Districts, except as allowed by § 133-13B(2)(b).
C. 
Self-illuminated copy-change signs in B1 Districts, except copy-change theater signs.
