The Police Department of the Township of Alloway is abolished effective 12:00 midnight December 31, 1991, and any prior ordinance of the Township of Alloway creating or maintaining such Police Department is hereby repealed effective 12:00 midnight December 31, 1991.
As a result of said abolition of the Alloway Township Police Department, the positions of all personnel connected therewith are abolished effective 12:00 midnight December 31, 1991, including but not limited to the Chief and all police officers whose employment will thereupon end.
On or before December 31, 1991, all equipment and property issued by or belonging to the Township of Alloway in connection with the Police Department of the Township of Alloway, including but not limited to six nine-millimeter automatic weapons and two shotguns, shall be returned to the Alloway Township Director of Public Safety.
On or before December 31, 1991, all records, documents, reports or other items currently in the custody of the Alloway Township Police Department shall be delivered to the Alloway Township Director of Public Safety or to the New Jersey State Police or to the Salem County Prosecutor's Office or to other officials or parties as required by law or as is appropriate.
